The Community Care Clinic was established in 2006, in response to a growing number of uninsured in our community. It is estimated that over 4,000 adults in Watauga County will remain uninsured in spite of the Affordable Care Act. Our clinic is located in the Hannah Building (the former Health Department) off of Bamboo Road.
Dylan's Hearts has two main goals:
1. Mitigate unnecessary pain and suffering in animals that cannot access emergency veterinary treatment because of financial constraints of their owners.
2. Assist animal owners in making animal care decisions based upon the needs of the animal rather than financial limitations. Helping animals in this way will help reduce unnecessary euthanasia.
