APPALACHIAN STATE UNIVERSITY

BACK 2 SCHOOL FESTIVAL

Created to lift the heavy financial burden that back-to-school shopping creates for local families. When families are unable to afford supplies the responsibility often falls on faculty and staff and can leave the child feeling insecure or inadequate.

BLOWING ROCK SCHOOL

Pre-K through 8th grade, with enrollment of approximately 400 students and 60 staff members. Our students consistently do well academically and excel in athletics and arts through participation in community recreation programs and arts organizations.

CCC&TI

This part of our Business Services Team offers free workshops presented by leaders in Watauga County. Free business coaching helps to develop and sustain business success. Mobile Mentoring provides business coaching, on-site assessments and resources.

WALKER COLLEGE OF BUSINESS

The Walker College of Business at Appalachian State Univ. delivers transformational educational experiences that prepare & inspire students to be ethical, innovative & engaged business leaders who positively impact our community, both locally & globally.

WATAUGA COUNTY SCHOOLS

Our mission is to educate for productive citizenship & lifelong learning. Nine schools with total enrollment of 4,650 students. Our school system is one of very few statewide where every school has been recognized for high achievement under the NC ABC's Report Card. All eight K-8 schools are Schools of Excellence, and Watauga High School is a School of Distinction.
