HIGH COUNTRY JAZZ SOCIETY

Enjoy live jazz concerts open to the public with nationally acclaimed musicians every second Sunday of the month, May thru October. Whether you choose to dine by reservation only, visit the bar, or simply walk-in and enjoy the music, our dinner theatre setting at the Meadowbrook Inn provides the perfect ambiance for your enjoyment. Thanks to the nonprofit HCJS, jazz is alive and thriving as America's own art form right here in the High Country. We also strive to educate, encourage and support the development of jazz talent in the community. Dinner seating starts at 6 pm. Call for dinner reservations at the Meadowbrook Inn. HORN IN THE WEST

Open late June to mid-August. Shows nightly except Monday at 8pm. Exciting family entertainment of the history of the area. The adjacent Hickory Ridge Living History Museum is open before the show. Donations are encouraged. All seats reserved, walk-ups welcome.

NVSBL THTR of Boone gives voice to unheard voices through work that helps audiences experience the world in new ways.Through innovative artistic practices, they encourage participants to try on new perspectives to create a more engaged, empathetic, connected community. We make meaningful, beautiful, and socially relevant theatre for the permanent and temporary residents of our dynamic mountain town, and to tour outside our region. In/Visible Theatre gives voice to unheard voices through producing work that challenges audiences to see, hear, and experience the world in new ways.

MOUNTAIN HOME MUSIC

A concert series and radio show which presents the best of traditional Appalachian musicians and performers. The series runs each summer in Boone and each fall in Blowing Rock.

SCHAEFER CENTER PRESENTS... AT APPALACHIAN

Featuring the finest in touring performances annually from September-April. World-class jazz, opera, theatre, film, dance, world music and more, designed to enrich the cultural landscape of the university and surrounding region. All shows at 7pm in the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts.
