- Town Hall is closed today, 1/18
- Residential trash will be picked up on 1/19 & 1/20
- Commercial roll out trash will be picked up 1/21
As of last night, Town employees have worked 36hrs straight to maintain roads in Blowing Rock! Thank you to our public works, firefighters, and landscape crew for all your hard work.
Winter has arrived! Crews have been working around the clock to maintain roads conditions. Unnecessary travel is not advised with a foot of snow and wind chills in the negatives today. Stay safe and warm!
📢 A message from the Town of Blowing Rock
The National Weather Service along with other weather outlets have issued a major winter storm warning, for the Blowing Rock area, beginning Saturday afternoon, January 15th. Snowfall totals are being predicted between 6 and 20 inches. Cold temperatures and high winds will also accompany this storm. All residents and visitors are asked to avoid unnecessary travel during this time. When travel is necessary, four wheel drive or snow chains are advised.
To assist with snow removal efforts, all vehicles should be removed from on street parking spaces by midnight on Saturday night. This includes parking on Main Street, Pine Street, Park Ave and Sunset Drive.
